Job Title:  Accounts Payable Assistant                             Reporting to: Accounts Payable Team Leader

Job Purpose:

The Accounts Assistant role is a key role within the Accounts department and is responsible for processing and managing the flow of transactions, invoices and payments in the Accounts office on a daily basis, ensuring that supplier accounts are up to date.  Reporting to an Accounts Payable Team Leader, the role-holder will work within the Accounts Payable team of the Accounts department.


Key Responsibilities:

The Accounts Assistant will be required to carry out the following tasks:

  • Maintain Purchase ledgers
  • Processing supplier invoices and credit notes
  • Account reconciliations and reporting
  • Supplier payments
  • Dealing with suppliers invoice queries
  • Any other ad hoc duties as could be expected of an Accounts Assistant


Key Capabilities:

  • 1+ years Accounts Assistant experience
  • Strong reconciliations experience
  • Ambitious, energetic and motivated with ability to adapt to new challenges
  • A team player with excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines
  • Ability to prioritise own workload
