JOB TITLE : VEHICLE PURCHASING ASSISTANT            REPORTING TO : CUSTOMER OPERATIONS MANAGER

We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented individual to join our Customer Operations team and functions. This person will be responsible for the management of the end-to-end vehicle procurement process for ALD Automotive. This involves financing, tendering, ordering, interacting and management of external suppliers and other third parties. It also requires delivering an accurate process with maximum cost efficiencies for the business and our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead the New Vehicle Ordering for ALD Automotive with appropriate procedures and checks in place to ensure 100% accuracy.
  • Manage and monitor the customer contracts.
  • Monitor the discounts and supports on Key2, ensuring they are loaded and up to date.
  • Plan, implement and manage the New Car Tendering process
  • Negotiate maximum discounts for ALD, particularly where there is potential volume
  • Manage and maintain the relationships with the manufacturers and suppliers, ensuring ALD has knowledge and access to all incentives/deals on offer
  • Arranging and co-ordination of fit-outs as and when required
  • Participation at supplier/manufacturer events when required
    • Point of escalation for queries from suppliers/manufacturers, ensuring resolution of queries in a timely and efficient manner
    • Work closely with internal teams to ensure all objectives are met
    • Timely and accurate processing of new vehicle registration paperwork
    • Preparation of reports, plans and presentations as required
    • Identify, communicate and drive opportunities for changeto improve efficiencies and improve performance of all aspects of the Vehicle Purchasing role
    • Assist with tasks such as orders, tenders, deliveries and operational activities when not managing the vehicle procurement process
    • Ad-hoc duties as required

Key Requirements:

 

  • Energetic self-starter, team-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to building strong business relationships, focused on identifying opportunities in line with role objectives
    • Proficiency in mathematics is essential, particularly with discount percentage application
    • Strong organisation and administration skills, with ability to multitask and deliver to deadlines
    • Ability to communicate effectively, internally and externally
    • Excellent work ethic and ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
    • Expertise with Microsoft Office. Primarily Outlook and Excel with the ability to understand, prepare, adjust and work with different formulas
